Keeping Poultry in Your Backyard

Cornell Cooperative Extension of Ulster County (CCEUC) will offer a great introductory program entitled, “Keeping Poultry in Your Own Backyard”. This program will help area residents get started with keeping their own backyard flock of chickens, ducks, turkeys or other poultry.

This program will take place at CCEUC’s Main Office & Education Center located at 232 Plaza Road in Kingston on Friday, April 20, 2012, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. The fee is $10 per family or farm. Topics will include: Basic Husbandry, Housing, Equipment and Facility Management, Breeds, Meat and Eggs Production. This workshop is suitable for both children and adults.
